Bonnie Henry said that there has been an increase in transmission at parties by younger individuals. Transmission occurs at parties because individuals are not maintaining safe distances with people they don’t know, especially when they are inside. Work is being done by teams across the province to break apart parties and to levy fines.

Bonnie Henry said if your friends invite you to a party and it doesn’t feel right, don’t go. There’s no better excuse than a global pandemic to do the right thing and not go, and encourage your friends to do the same.
